Where we offer anti-wrinkle consultations: at our Cheadle clinic (1 Brooklyn Road, SK8 1BS), and at our Salford and Didsbury clinics. Every consultation is with a GMC-registered doctor and is free.
You will have time to ask questions, and there is no obligation to go ahead with anything on the day.

What Happens at an Anti-Wrinkle Consultation?
Some options for expression lines involve a prescription-only medicine. A prescription-only medicine can only be prescribed after a face-to-face consultation with a prescriber, and only if it is clinically appropriate for you.
At MedSkin Studios every consultation begins with a full assessment of your skin, expression lines and facial anatomy. The aim is an honest discussion of what is realistic for you.
Your consultation follows three straightforward stages:
- 1. Assessment: Our doctor looks at your face at rest and in movement and reviews your medical history, medications and goals.
- 2. Discussion of options: You talk through the options that may be suitable, with their benefits, risks and limitations, and the option of no treatment.
- 3. Your plan: You receive a clear plan and time to consider it. If any medication is clinically appropriate, it is discussed and prescribed separately after your consultation.

At your consultation we can discuss a range of expression-related concerns:
- Forehead & Frown: Horizontal forehead lines and the vertical frown lines between the brows.
- Eyes & Brows: Crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes, and a heavy or dropping brow.

No. The consultation is for assessment and advice. You can take your time to decide, and the right option may be no treatment at all.

You will see a GMC-registered doctor, the clinical lead at MedSkin Studios.
Why do I need a face-to-face consultation?
A prescription-only medicine can only be prescribed after an individual assessment of your medical history and suitability. At MedSkin Studios this is always done in person.
What should I tell the doctor?
Please tell us about your medical history, current medication, allergies, and whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy.
What if I am not sure what I want?
That is common. Many people come to discuss a concern and leave with a clear understanding of their options.
Any treatment is only provided after a face-to-face consultation with a qualified prescriber and is not suitable for everyone. Risks, side effects and alternatives are discussed with you in full before any decision is made.
