Fat dissolving injections use a solution based on deoxycholic acid, a substance the body naturally uses to break down dietary fat. Injected directly into a small pocket of stubborn fat, it disrupts the membrane of the fat cells so their contents are released and then gradually cleared away by your own lymphatic system.
This is a contouring treatment rather than a weight loss treatment. It works best on small, well-defined pockets of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise, and it is not suitable for large areas. Do fat dissolving injections hurt?
There is some discomfort. Numbing cream is applied first, but you should expect stinging or burning during and shortly after the injections, followed by tenderness for several days.
What is the downtime after treatment?
This treatment has the most noticeable social downtime of any injectable we offer. Swelling peaks at two to three days and can be pronounced, particularly under the chin, settling over one to two weeks.
How many sessions will I need?

Is this a weight loss treatment?
No. It is a contouring treatment for small, stubborn pockets of fat only and will not reduce your overall body weight. It works best when your weight is already stable.
